Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time in Anaheim, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or customer concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with store teams and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer concerns, disruptive behavior, and potential shoplifting situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, stock areas, receiving docks, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key store areas for unusual activity, and report observed concerns to location management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete routine checks of doors, gates, and other access points, and document irregularities such as unsecured areas or damaged fixtures.
• Provide a visible, professional presence while assisting with de-escalation and customer service interventions when situations arise.
• Support crowd and line management during peak shopping periods and special events, helping to maintain orderly customer flow within the location.
• Write clear, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal requirements.
• Use radios, phones, and/or other communication tools to coordinate response and request assistance when needed.
• Follow post orders and direction from location leadership and/or Allied Universal management while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
