As a Security Guard Armed Security Patrol Clearance Required in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and/or vehicle authorizations in accordance with site protocols for restricted and sensitive areas.
- Support incident response by reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, and assist with evacuations, medical calls, and other security-related concerns when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
