Security Officer - FT, Clearance Required

As a Security Guard - Aero/Defense Security Clearance Patrols in ARLINGTON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with employees and visitors, respond to situations as needed, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $25.63 / Hour

Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance and 2+ years of security experience

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report any unusual conditions or activities observed during patrols in the aerospace and defense location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and to support a secure environment for personnel and property.
• Document and communicate all security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
