Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Customer Service Job in Ashburn, Virginia

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic government education location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the location, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to established procedures.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a school environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
