Security Officer Access Control Patrols

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrols in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, site concerns, and/or maintenance issues.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and help support authorized access for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries.
- Assist with reporting and recordkeeping related to incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities, while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
