Security Officer - Front Desk Operations

As a Security Officer Front Desk Operations in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic financial institution location where you will serve as the front desk presence, greeting visitors, managing access activity, and supporting security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. In this highly visible role, you will help to deter incidents while delivering a professional experience. - Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk and carrying out site-specific security-related procedures for a financial institution location.
- Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with location policies.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Answer phones, manage front desk communications, and support reporting of security-related concerns, service requests, and daily activity documentation.
- Observe entry points and high-traffic reception areas, report maintenance issues and/or suspicious behavior, and follow post orders and emergency response protocols as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
