As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, patrol observations, incidents, and other required reports accurately.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies related to armed assignments.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least one year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, and/or the military.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
