Security Officer Experienced Access Control Job in Atlanta, Georgia

As a Security Officer Experienced Access Control in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a retail location, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and assist visitors and team members with professionalism. You will support a secure environment through clear communication, strong customer service, and a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor and control access to the retail location by verifying credentials, screening deliveries and contractors, maintaining visitor records, and communicating entry requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, receiving areas, sales-floor access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Assist with documenting incidents, access-control activity, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
