Security Officer Job in Atlanta, Georgia

As a Security Officer in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will support access control, respond to alarms and incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a corporate technology office location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of office floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
- Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications to document patrols, observations, and security-related events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
