Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing

As a Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing in Augusta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include verifying credentials, managing entry points, and staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain control of entry and exit in the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe for unusual activity or circumstances.
• Verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors and/or contractors upon entry and exit.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities or observations according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
