As a Security Professional - Telecom Site Patrol in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic tech and telecom environment. By maintaining a visible presence and providing outstanding customer service, you will help to create a welcoming atmosphere for employees, visitors, and guests. This opportunity allows you to utilize your experience and communication skills while working as part of a supportive team committed to integrity and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas as directed by site management.
  • Monitor for any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the tech, media, and telecom location and promptly report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities through written and/or electronic logs as required.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to provide general assistance, information, and directions as needed.
  • Follow site-specific instructions to support client operations and help to deter potential security-related threats.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
