Armed Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver Job in Austin, Texas

As a Armed Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s caring, agile, reliable, innovative, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with the protection of merchandise, assets, and property in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
