As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, delivery zones, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and help maintain an orderly environment while providing clear directions and assistance.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
