Armed Security Officer Patrol Access Control Job in Austin, Texas

As a Armed Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, donors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with site requirements and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
