As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a busy retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. This role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to site needs, and delivering customer-focused service with integrity, reliability, and teamwork. - Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, retail location policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with local management and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or exterior areas for unusual behavior, policy violations, and other security-related issues, reporting observations according to site procedures.
- Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing customer and employee activity, assisting with access control, and following post orders for armed presence at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Possess a Level III Armed Guard card for Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
