As a Elite Security Officer Full Time Morning Shift in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while supporting a professional environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific protocols; assist with directing guests and reporting access concerns.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and local responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least three years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or armed security-related professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
- Type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have alarm panel experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
