As a Elite Security Officer Technology Building in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will deliver welcoming customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, production spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems in accordance with site policies; maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
- Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with employees, contractors, and visitors while helping to deter unauthorized access.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least three years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Armed Security Officer, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
- Type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
