Security Guard – Armed Mall Patrol

As a Security Guard – Armed Mall Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. Your role includes conducting regular patrols, remaining visible throughout the area, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to observe and report any unusual behavior or incidents.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all post orders and instructions specific to the retail environment.
• Assist customers and staff with inquiries and provide directions or information as needed while maintaining a courteous demeanor.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
