Security Officer – Armed Patrol Retail

As a Security Professional – Armed Patrol Retail/Malls in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for customers and staff. Your visible presence and keen observation will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while your professional customer service and strong communication skills provide reassurance and support. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to Allied Universal training.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for unusual activity and potential threats, reporting observations and incidents according to company guidelines.
• Maintain visibility as an armed security professional to help to deter potential disruptions within the retail environment.
• Interact with store personnel, vendors, and customers to provide assistance and information as needed while performing assigned security-related duties.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification in Texas if applying for a role in that state.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
