Security Officer – Armed Patrol Retail

As a Security Professional – Armed Patrol Retail Mall in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents in a dynamic retail environment. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a strong visible presence, and interact with customers and staff to provide outstanding service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Carry out routine and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to observe for irregularities or potential security-related concerns.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors, offering assistance and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including coordinating with first responders and notifying appropriate personnel when necessary.
• Complete detailed incident and activity reports to document occurrences and actions taken during the shift.
• Remain alert while on duty to identify and address potential security-related risks within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must hold a Level III armed certification if applying for positions in Texas.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
