What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across the campus location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout school buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verifying access permissions and reporting unusual behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support arrival, dismissal, and special event operations by directing foot and vehicle traffic, assisting with access control, and maintaining a professional presence during daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
- Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
