Security Officer Armed Route Driver Patrol

As a Security Officer Armed Route Driver Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post for professionals who are agile, reliable, and innovative, and who put people first, work as a team, and act with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence within post orders and training guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or point-of-sale zones to help support loss prevention efforts, observe policy compliance, and document security-related concerns.
- Prepare detailed activity and incident reports, communicate with site leadership and/or local responders as needed, and follow Allied Universal protocols for escalating security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
