Security Officer – Front Desk Tech Site

As a Security Officer – Front Desk Tech Site in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading tech-focused location, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and team members. Your primary responsibility will be to manage access control, monitor entry points, and provide outstanding customer service. By remaining visible and approachable, you help to deter security-related incidents while fostering a welcoming environment. You'll utilize technology, such as computers or tablets, to support daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Welcome and check in visitors, employees, and contractors, verifying identification and providing badges as needed.
• Monitor access to the location, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting guests and staff at the front desk.
• Monitor security-related systems, such as surveillance cameras and access control, and report irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed logs of visitor activity, incidents, and other front desk operations.
• Communicate professionally with onsite personnel, Allied Universal management, and emergency responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
