Security Officer Full Time Patrol Boundary Observation Job in Austin, Texas

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Boundary Observation in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge-related processes, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will deliver welcoming customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology-focused facilities, offices, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
