Security Officer Full Time Patrol Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Position in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, team members, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns, and communicate observations with site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.
- Support a welcoming shopping environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and helping to address customer service concerns within the scope of the post.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
