As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Security in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, support access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help promote a secure, professional environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and guests at a technology and media location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Staff the front desk and reception area, greet visitors professionally, verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records.
- Monitor access to the facility, receive and direct deliveries and service providers, and communicate site requirements to visitors and contractors.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
- Monitor security-related systems and incoming communications from the front desk, document observations and incidents, and help to deter unauthorized access.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Have CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
