Security Officer Full Time Visitor Services Job in Austin, Texas

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Services in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a dynamic technology and media location, you will create a welcoming, professional experience while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will remain visible at the front desk, help to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide a professional, welcoming presence at the front desk of a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific procedures and policies.
- Greet employees, visitors, contractors, and guests; verify access authorization; issue visitor credentials; and maintain accurate visitor records.
- Monitor entry activity, access-control systems, communications, and other assigned security-related equipment; report irregularities according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, customer-focused, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
- Support reception and access-management activities by providing directions, answering routine inquiries, and coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
