Security Officer Patrol Access Authorization Job in Austin, Texas

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Authorization in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and access-control needs, and support a welcoming environment. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor records, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
