Security Officer Reception Access Coordinator Job in Austin, Texas

As a Security Officer Reception Access Coordinator in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide professional customer service. Your visible presence will help promote a secure, welcoming environment while you communicate clearly and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests at a technology and media campus by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
- Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and appointments, and direct guests in accordance with access-control procedures.
- Monitor visitor management systems, access-control activity, cameras, alarms, and communications equipment; report unusual activity or system issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while providing clear information and assistance to the site community.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
