Security Officer – Shopping Center - Morning Shift

As a Security Officer – Shopping Center - Morning Shift in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in fostering a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for employees and visitors alike. This position is primarily driving-based, so a valid driver's license is required as you traverse the property to monitor for any unusual activity. You will also deliver exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and assisting individuals as needed, all while upholding the core Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft and/or other undesirable behavior.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for all patrons.
• Assist with access control and/or crowd management as needed, following the guidelines provided for the retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
