Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Full Time in Aventura, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong communication and customer service. This role offers the chance to work in a caring, fast-paced environment with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor access points and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards to appropriate personnel while supporting daily operations at the location.
- Assist with de-escalation, access control, and incident documentation to help support order and continuity of care within a healthcare environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
