Security Officer Screener Job in Barstow Heights, California

As a Security Officer Screener in Barstow, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener supporting a government court location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, attorneys, jurors, and other members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Screen persons and belongings entering the courthouse using screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and direct individuals regarding entry requirements.
- Maintain orderly access points by verifying authorization, monitoring visitor flow, and providing clear directions to appropriate courthouse areas.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited-item discoveries, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established response protocols.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
