As a Security Officer - Access Control - Unarmed in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment by monitoring entry points and managing access for employees, visitors, and vendors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any access concerns. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors only.
• Assist in the implementation of site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
• Provide customer service by greeting employees, contractors, and visitors, and responding to inquiries regarding access protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify any security-related concerns.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or access control violations to Allied Universal management and site leadership as required.
• Support emergency response efforts by assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns, and communicating important information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
