As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech Campus in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting the secure operation of the site. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or situations that may arise.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within a technology-focused location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities during patrols and shift assignments.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences.
• Support site-specific protocols for visitor access, deliveries, and/or contractor activities as required by the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
