As a Security Officer – Media Facility Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a secure atmosphere, and you will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone onsite. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.
• Report and document all incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Collaborate with site staff and visitors to promote a secure environment within a technology-oriented workplace.
• Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and the client site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
