Security Officer Patrol Services

As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office spaces, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing site activity, verifying credentials when required, and reporting unusual behavior.
- Complete routine reports and document security-related incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations in accordance with site expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
