Security Officer - Hotel Access Control

As a Security Officer - Hotel Access Control in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. You will interact with guests and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and support access control measures. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment within the hotel or resort.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report unusual activity or potential security-related risks.
• Work collaboratively with hotel or resort staff to address guest concerns and support a positive experience for all visitors.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports related to incidents, patrols, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Remain alert while on duty and follow instructions from supervisors to support the security-related needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
