Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver in Big Creek, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols and visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, assist with access control, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility property, including buildings, parking areas, gates, laydown yards, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor and control access points by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe for unusual activity, unsecured doors, damaged fencing, suspicious vehicles, and other conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity; promptly communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, weather-related impacts, and other site interruptions.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, intrusion alarms, radios, and access control equipment as assigned, reporting malfunctions through the proper channels.
• Complete detailed reports, daily activity logs, patrol documentation, and incident reports that accurately describe events, actions taken, and notifications made.
• Provide traffic and/or pedestrian direction during shift change, deliveries, work crew movements, and special activities as directed by site procedures.
• Support utility operations by coordinating with authorized contractors and delivery drivers for check-in procedures, staging directions, and adherence to location rules.
• Maintain a professional presence and appearance, and communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and responding public services during routine and non-routine events.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
