As a Security Professional - Telecom Site in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure atmosphere for clients, employees, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a strong and visible presence, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing excellent customer service and clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary depending on the location.
• Observe and report any unusual incidents or activities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist with access control to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the location.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
