As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will engage with team members and guests, communicate clearly, and document observations and/or concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, associates, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floor areas, receiving and storage areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, potential theft indicators, and/or policy violations, and promptly notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as directed by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with local public services when needed.
  • Control access through designated entrances, backroom doors, and delivery areas by verifying authorization for employees, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other site systems when assigned, and communicate observations via radio and/or phone according to site protocols.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and patrol documentation, including descriptions of actions taken and individuals involved.
  • Assist with crowd management and line control during peak shopping periods, promotions, and special events as directed.
  • Provide a visible presence in parking areas, cart corrals, and entryways, offering customer assistance such as directions and/or escort requests when appropriate.
  • Support loss prevention-related efforts by observing behaviors, reporting concerns, and preserving information for follow-up by site leadership and/or law enforcement.
  • Follow all site-specific policies related to food handling areas, restricted zones, and delivery schedules while maintaining professional conduct and appearance.
  • Participate in required training, briefings, and post updates, and communicate equipment issues and/or operational concerns to Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
