Security Officer Route Patrol - Unarmed

As a Security Officer Route Patrol - Unarmed in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team and acting with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, as permitted by site policies.
- Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, verifying visitor activity, and reporting unauthorized persons, vehicles, and/or unusual conditions.
- Help to deter disruptions, trespassing, theft, and/or property damage through visible presence, routine observations, and timely communication with site leadership and emergency personnel when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
