Security Officer Site Protection Job in Blythewood, South Carolina

As a Security Officer Site Protection in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor entry procedures, and documenting relevant activity in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
- Observe operations and facility conditions for potential security-related concerns, equipment issues, or policy violations and communicate findings to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
