Security Officer Access Services

As a Security Officer - Access Services in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and communications location where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this customer-focused role, you will support day-to-day site operations through clear communication, professionalism, and teamwork while bringing our agile, reliable, innovative culture and people-first values to every interaction.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and other security-related policies for a technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or visitor records, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, offices, equipment rooms, and other sensitive spaces.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Document daily activity, access exceptions, visitor information, and incident details with accuracy, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to doors, gates, loading areas, and other access points where working conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
