As a Security Officer Part Time Overnight in a Grocery Distribution Center Conducting Patrol Inspection in Jessup, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Security Experience (C115)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security-related role.
- Demonstrated understanding of security protocols and procedures.
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
- Familiarity with access control systems and badge issuance processes.
- Experience in managing and monitoring access to secure areas.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
- Proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks.
- Ability to navigate software applications relevant to the position.
Customer Service Experience (B219)
- Proven experience in a customer service role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor and delivery activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
