Security Officer Digital Credential Operations Job in Borough of Northampton, Pennsylvania

As a Security Officer Digital Credential Operations in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service while using computer or tablet systems to support badge and access processes. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel, drivers, and deliveries according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Document access-control activities, incidents, and observations accurately in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
