Security Officer Full-Time Access Control Job in Borough of Shippingport, Pennsylvania

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization in Shippingport, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee access, and help maintain an orderly environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and respond to access-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour
5:00AM-1:00PM / 1:00PM-9:00PM / 9:00PM-5:00AM Schedules Available - Officer will be scheduled 40 Hours with 2 Days Off
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor and control access to the industrial construction location by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
- Operate access-control equipment, including gates, badge readers, and visitor management systems, and report equipment concerns through established channels.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
