As a Security Officer Access Control in Somerset, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal in a healthcare location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role blends visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help reduce security-related incidents. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances and access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Assist with visitor management, direction, and access-related inquiries while maintaining professional interaction with patients, staff, and guests.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
