Tuesday - Friday 3 PM - 11 PM and Saturday 11 PM - 7 AM
Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training
Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Related Experience
As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or public authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards in accordance with site protocols.
- Support public-facing operations by providing directions, assisting with crowd and traffic control, and maintaining a visible presence during routine activities and/or special situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
