Security Officer Armed Protective Patrol Job in Boston, Massachusetts

As a Security Officer Armed Protective Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, financial institution policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies for armed security-related duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
