Security Officer Visitor Services Job in Boston, Massachusetts

As a Security Officer Visitor Services in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a healthcare location, you will welcome visitors, manage access procedures, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your visible, professional presence will help support a secure and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and guests. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, visitor management policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor and access records.
- Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
- Provide clear directions, support, and professional communication to visitors and staff while helping to maintain an orderly reception area.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
